Blah.

Currently I am waiting for my paycheck.

Tomorrow my youth group and I all leave for fil-am. Yesterday I was reminded that this is not a vacation. And I though about it. And only thing I was happy about is the fact I take a break from work. But now I feel like I've lost the point of fund raising. Did we do all this work and raise all this money so that we can go on a vacation? Or are we so hungry for God we will do anything to go to this convention and get impacted by Him?

On a lighter note I thank God for all he has done in providing for us financially. He is great.

I don't want to think about going next year. I'll let that decision come later. But this year I pray that 1063 will be so impacted by God that we come back changed and that fire in us burns like it has never burned before.

Writing songs and Recording.

A month or so ago i found out how to record from my computer for free. Last night i was so bored out of my mind i decided to attempt to record a song. When testing my little computer mic i noticed that it catches your breathing. That sucked a lot. There was this time when Mitch, Jeremiah, and I recorded a rap song. same type of mic. and it caught our breaths. So i wanted to create a ghetto net that speakers and professional recording studios have.

I ran around the house looking for a wire hanger, I found one under my bed. I formed it to some weird almost circle type thing. i tried putting a sock. but it was too thick. so i looked for a thin shirt. but it wouldnt stay. In panic for another thing to use i looked around the room. while looking i stepped on my Rockband Mic. And in my brilliance i plugged it into my computer. HAHA

The song i want to record is Your Love Never Fails by Jesus Culture. I wanted my cousin Julie to sing it. But I've only played that song at church with a band. Never by my self. So i tried it by my self and it was the worst thing ever. The start was correct just like i always play at church but as the chorus hit I don't know what happened. All i know is that i have to try again later today.

This morning i wrote a song for Kirstyn. She doesn't know it yet. I want to record it today. I'll post later or tomorrow about the song. maybe even the song itself.

iPhone 3G S!

New iPhone coming out... I want it end of story haha.

I dont know if it is just me, but why is it that when you have something as great as an iPhone 3G you STILL want the newest one coming out? One reason is i want picture messaging, I hate having to e-mail things to friends phones. It gets a little complicated. And video recording, iPhone camera is great. I mean it can work for photos for blogging and just memories. Its cool because you can upload them straight to myspace or facebook the second you take the picture. I did that at my first choir concert. It was cool. Hopefully by the time i get my upgrade they have an iPhone better that this. but by then a new one is coming out. Isn't technology amazing? by the time you have the thing you want something better comes out and you end up wanting that.

Well I wonder if the update for picture messaging and video recording will come to my phone? hmm. Do the first generation iPhones have 3G speed on them? My friend Jamie's iPhone doesnt have 3G but its also jailbroken.

Today I woke up to the sound of a truck moving gravel to my driveway. We are in the process of upgrading our backyard from dirt too decency haha. Well we want to put cement soooo we had to move gravel. 3 hours of non stop shoveling and wheel barreling. After that i had to go to the bank for a deposit of coins for our youth group. Imagine how heavy 500 dollars in coins is. It's heavy enough for two people to struggle lol. After that i had to work. Typical Starbucks day only i was dead tired. Nothing got done in the mid shifts so as a closer tonight we were slammmmed with tasks. We ended up getting out 45 minutes late. I didn't really feel to much like eating anything or doing anything other than reading my Bible. Thank God for iPhone apps =D. I continued reading in 2 Corinthians. A lot of good stuff in the chapters i read. Some of the good stuff was about not being unequally yolked ch 6, and false apostles in ch 11. Good stuff today.

I haven't touched my guitar in dayys. I cant wait til practice or something.

Summer plans!

So today i asked my brother what his goals were for the summer. He didn't tell me but i got to thinking "what are my goals this summer?" So here are my goals in order of importance.

1. Grow in my relationship with God
2. Pray more.
3. Focus on being a better leader for my youth group
4. Improve as a musician.
5. Save money?


Those are my goals. 1, 2, and 3 are my main ones. I think i can improve as a musician just as i practice which i will be doing every week for Sundays. I also need to spend less time with my iPhone and more time with family and friends.

Anyway i figured this is a good post since it is still early in the summer.

I also want to figure out a way to use this for my youth group. and add pics.

It's been hella long since i blogged. i dont even know if im going to be able to have time to blog and what not. especially since im with out a camera other than my iphone...... Theres a blogger app for $9.99 but i dont think i'd spend 10 dollars just to blog and what not... Ill figure something out. maybe...

Valentines Day!

Its been a minute since i posted. Been real busy with school and work i just forget to take pictures and what not. But i have a 5 day weekend. Im not sure why but my college got today off and until monday. Anyway. I didnt get to see Erin because i have work. But hopefully ill get a chance to go there this weekend. Anyway she sent me this package and i got it on Tuesday but she said i couldnt open it til today so i left it on the floor lol. Anyway so i stayed up all night on the phone with her kind of. we both opened our valentines things at midnight. i sent her a card. Anyway this is what she gave me. It was a picture of us a card and some hearts. It was great.

Puddles!!

Today was an alright day. but before i talk about to day i will tell you about monday. Monday was fun but a bitch at the same time. I started my day ending a party at 2amish then waking up at 530am to leave for UC Davis. The plan was to leave Davis by 12 we ended up staying til 330pm, which was a stupid idea due to the fact my first day of work was 5pm. Anway i was LATE for my first day. but i did get a chance to call my boss and let him know ill be late. Back to the present: Today was a wet day. Rain and puddles galore! So we got to school and i parked right ontop of a fatty puddle i didnt see it because its still dark at 630am. Good think i had shoes on or else my toes would have gotten wet like my cousin, Editha, she was in her slip on vans and she stepped in a puddle and got wet. English was hard to pay attention in because i was soo tired and i felt dehydrated. She let us out about 50 minutes early it was great i got to walk across campus to this soda machine and i got my new favorite drink. Lipton Green Tea with Citrus. anyway after buying that i went to wait for my class. i saw my cousin and she bought me a cup of coffee. In class i finished it and i still fell asleep. after class me editha and fransisco went to this sushi place. it was good. heres a few pictures

So after living in stockton and job hunting i finally got a job. New Year = New Jon. and I've said that this year I would step my game up a bit, in school, home, and finding a job. And i got one at Starbucks. Thanks to my cousin, Miriam, for her experience at the company and the people that she knows. I guess i just played my cards right called the right hands and bet the right bets. Anyway no pics today. It was a day of just sitting at home do homework and clean.

Today wasnt the greatest of all days. i went to school and copped all my books =D. that went faster than i thought. so i had an hour and a half to kill so i went to the library and did the math homework due next week. figured i might as well get it done right? I didnt take a wdywt but i took a few pictures. Day started at 6am getting ready and ended around 9pm after youth group. Math class was mad boring i wasnt sure if i was allowed to walk out or not but i saw a few people do it. i know everything she is teaching so idk why im in there. Next time ill know when to walk out. So i did my homework instead. I read a little in my poetry class book. Its freakin dope. if you get a chance buy the book From "Totems To Hip-Hop." It contains some real ill poets with deep words. After math i met up with Fransisco so i could get a ride home. We visited my cousin Editha at work in downtown stockton starbucks. After that had bible study then went to youth group. Bible study was crackin like always but youth group was a little on the lame side(havnt been there for a LONG time). anyway heres the pictures

Day 2 and I'm at it again.

Alright so day two of college was a little better. Woke up this morning. didnt really get to take pictures too DAMN early. Woke up at 530 to get to school by 630. and at 6am parking sucked ass. But i got to my class waited outside. cold as hell. finally got inside and the teacher was pretty chill. We got this whole discussion about being tardy because its a 7am class. We also had an activity where we partner up and introduce our partner to the class and one strange fact about them. My partners name was Emily. She can shoot a gun better than anyone in her family, shes also seen a killer whale eat a seal. Then this girl who was next to me had a Thuglife tatoo on her lip. I swear i thought it was DOPEx1000. Class ended i was hungry as hell but my dumb ass wanted poetry which was right after my class and all the way across campus. Got in that class and the teacher was WAY down to earth. Very very chill. Im not sure i want to be in that class though. I'm a little dry of inspiration but im sure something will come along. Anyway i didnt get to take any pics not even wdywt. Until tommorow.

Back to School

So today was my first day in college. After my 6 month long summer vacation i was excited and not excited about it. Didnt really take any pics. Just WDYWT. My school was crowded. not really crackin. I still need my books. I saw a few people there in some nice sneakers. Saw guy in Shypinks and a dude with nice teal colored blazers. I had one class today, Math. it was weak. The teacher was really chill. Reminded me of one of my friends moms. mixed with ms whitlock HAHA. I feel like im not supposed to be in that class. i was mad bored today. nothing there was new stuff to me. i think ill stay for the refresh to my algebra. anyway heres the pics. enjoy!
